jyotsna replied. hi,
after a long time!
ive suffered the last week with a lowerback-nerve jerk and its taken me some time to recover.Did go for my ultrasound with husb and daughter. The baby is 24 weeks old and was pedaling away when we caught a glimpse of it.
MY gynaec says GD test is not essential but will do it anyways along with a haemoglobin test.Thats scheduled for sometime this week.
take care girls and write in
MALA replied. hi to all of you ,
could any one of you pls let me know in detail what is gd test . how to determine the sex of the baby.
Mekha replied. Hey all, How are you all doing? Actually i can't say i am alright. I haven't getting much sleep lately. It seems my baby has changed the schedule and keeps me awake whole night. I have terrible cramps at night eventhough i take 3-4 glasses of milk or tums. I know they are the side effects of the pregnacy but it really sucks. What to say I even feel hungry in the middle of the night.
Padmaja congratssss!! for clearing the GD test. i am so happy for you. Girls keep your fingers crossed for me too.
We didn't go far away from our place on july 4th. We had gone to some malls for baby shopping. Did you guys get the baby crib or strollet yet? We are just checking some shops like babysrus or toysrus etc. Sakhi, its good to go for a walk everyday. I go with my dh everyday after dinner. Padmaja and sakhi, My appointment for physical therapy is on 17th of this month. I will let you know all about it after the session.
Belly rubs to you all!
Padmaja replied. Jyotsna, don't worry about sciatic pain(I know it is easier said) I have been suffering with if for the past two weeks too, it is caused by the pressure of the pregnany uterus on the sciatic nerve.Sciatic nerve pain is not usually a cause for concern, when your baby changes position closer to the time of delivery, scaitic pain will ease. Warm baths, a heating pad and sleeping on the opposite side could help until then.Do you pick up ananya? Try not to lift ant weights and avoid brisk movements.I hope you will feel better soon. When you talk to your OBGYN do ask about GD testing, take care till then
Sakhi, first of all congratulations on your anniversary, three years is it? Wishes to your dh too.I am also married for 3 1/2 years now !Can't believe how time flew.Try not to worry about weight gain,6 pounds in three weeks feels like a little more than usual but probably this is your growth spurt stage. It is believed that you should ideally gain 5 pounds in the first trimister(till 12 weeks) and close to a pound after 12 weeks for the rest of the pregnancy, I have a chart which my OBGYN gave which gives this info. Good luck with your parents visa and your trip to India.
Mekha, where are you? How is your physical therapy going? If they are giving you any imp tips share with us, especially if it concerns back ache! Looks like you took off on a pleasure trip for the july 4th.Keep in touch
Pinky, I forgot to mention that my mom is from chennai too.

good health to all of you.
jyotsna replied. hi girls,
i have been laid up with a bad lower back pain suspected to be sciatica.I have been asked to avoid car-drives and jerks and bending etc etc.Well im amazed as to how 2 pregnancies can be so different but they are.....totally.This time round my gynaec(over the phone) has asked me to actually curb my activity levels considerably.I havent put on much weight at all except around the tummy which looks like a real biug basketball(lol)--which explains the pressure on the back. And yes a very active little one within kickboxing away.....
So the GD testing will have to wait till i meet my gynaec and same for the ultrasound.Alsao to do a Haemoglobin check..keep in touch all of you--this message board really keeps me going
sakhi replied. Hi Girls,
Padmaja, Great !!! you cleared your GD test. I think I may have to go for it in couple of weeks!!! Keeping my fingers crossed.
This weekend was long weekend for us and we had our 3rd anniversary, lots of parties. I ate a lot including all sweet stuff, just afraid that I might put on too much in this month. I already put on 6 pounds in 3 weeks!!! Is it normal? Girls how much do u put on in 6th month?
We applied for my parents visa, they will be coming here in sep. Before that I am planning to visit india (of course if everything goes well)
Mekha, I just go for a walk after dinner for about 45 mins. That also helps me in my back pain since I have to just sit entire day. BTW, what is physical therapy and what Dr. do? I am not aware of it.
Jyotsna, What happened to your GD screening? Did you ask your gynic?
Keep in touch friends!!!

It's a GIRL !!!!!!
Hi all,
I delivered a beautiful baby girl on 23rd November
at around 2 a.m. She weighed at 8lb 13oz & is 21\"; tall. It was a normal delivery, the mom & the baby are doing fine. We named her \";Shreya\";.
My mom and myself decided to put our creative skills and mind to work (optimum use of my maternity leave!) and have come up with these beautiful Quilts-cum-Comforters for Babies and Kids as well as for Adults. I am just spreading the good word around – some kind-av-marketing, you can say! I urge you to check out this stuff on ‘www.indiapare... - Irene Kurdikar [View Message]
