Thanks vara and PP for your replies. I am only worried if it is a C section and if I will have the enegry at that point to do it. But like PP suggested may be make a list of possible alphabets and names and then decide from those.

Just one more question, if you don't name the baby at all at the time of discharge then what happens? Which name will they issue the documents in? In this case should we go ahead and get the docs separately by ourselves? ANy idea how this works? PP replied. Hi sonu..
as vara said u can ask ur husnabd to do the same..anyway when u eill be in hospital...nurses helps a lot...ur husband will have time to do all this till u go back home...
even we did so..my husband downloaded the names from all sites from A alphabet after asking from india...and then brought the laptop in hospital thr we finalyy looked once more of all the names..

and if u dnt name it then either they will give u sometime or u may have to apply for SSN and all on ur own..but doing in hospital is much better as after coming home u wnt get time for any such thing that's for sure...so get as much relax as u can in hospital only...
vara replied. Hi Sonu, y do u worry ? once u know the alphabet u ask ur hubby to sit on internet and get the print of babies name list to u and then u may decide together. Before going for delivery u try to list some of the sites of babies names and keep them handy for ur hubby. Its very simple.

I think if u r unable to give the name before u get discharged, u can give the name within 1 week. But Birth certificate process will start only after that.
