Dear Archie,

Just wanted to inform you that I got the ultrasound done day before yesterday at 9 weeks 3 days menstrual age . As per the USG, average gestational age is 10 weeks 0 days,
Foetal heart rate is 175 bpm
fetal cardiac activity ancd movements seen
NUCHAL translucency is normal which is 0.09 cm.

Also my first trimester triple marker for free beta hcg and PAPP A was done at 9weeks 2 days menstrual age wich is within limits and is therefore negative.

My gynaec and the sonologist too says everything is normal and not to repeat ultrasound in 11th week.

My query is
Nuchal fold thicknees test is normally done between 11 weeks 0 days and 13 weeks 6 days, so whether I was early in doing the NT test and do i need to repeat it?

I am still on progesterone capsules taken vaginally and to be continued till 12th week.

I will be taking a triple marker test in the second trimester too.

Hope I am in the right direction.

your NT is done earlier than when it should be.

But since you will have triple marker test around 16 weeks gestation you can relax today and follow triple marker test with level II ultrasound.

progesterone will be there, for some its continued even in early parts of second trimester.
