Hi all,

Right now i am using Electric pump from hospital .. i rented for a month.. heard from LC that i shld b using this at the initial stages coz this will increase the milk supply..

i wanna kn when can i start using Manual Pump.. it will be handy and whenever we go out will b easy to pump and feed the baby...

Is it necessary to use Electric pump for atleast 3 months or so..

experienced moms pls do suggest..

Hi suki..i think manual breast pump takes lots of efforts and it depends sometimes on ur capacity too to extract max milk..as it becomes tiring after doing a while..im using manual pump but now i feel so tired and a lil pain in my hand as pumping for 10 15 mins and feeding too and all other baby things become time consuming and effort taking.

that;s why its is gud convinience wise to us electric one for max extract...

Hi Suki,

I started using mannual pump from day 1..I use the brand Medela - caricia . Its quite small in size and very handy and useful. I use it when ever I need to be out or else when my baby is formula fed.

its quite comforting seeing your mess. i thought it is not advisable to use manual pump till 3 months..

I have been visiting site and finally cld see posts. Rhea is doing good.Pretty active like other kids.she sings whole abc song and counts 1to 6 (her bro' s impact)
I have been busy since i joined work since Jan ,so my inlaws are here to help with kids.i terribley miss both kids during day.
