Dear all,
i m entering into my 8th month sucessfully..its been a perfectly normal & wonderful journey so far without any complication like morning sickness & all.Recent u/s has shown my placenta is anterior & baby is in vertex/cepahllic position.cervix is undialated & mesauring 3.4 cm. baby' s weight is around 1.5 kgs.
I am a working lady & handling a very cool & stressless job.Now, this is the time to inform my employer regarding my M. Leaves.I am comfortable in wking till 31st Oct since my EDD is 14th Nov. bt everyone is saying that its difficult to carry preg till 40 weeks my baby will arrive sumwhere in Oct end.Pls guide me in case of a healthy preg also babies arrive before due date?
Another thing is that every1 is saying that 8 th month is very critical & we shud take extra care otherwise there r chances of premature birth.I dnt exert myself much but still there has to b sum household work to b managed apart frm official work..
I dnt want to take any risk. I am seking for ur advice till how long i can continue working & what r the things i shud take care of esp in 8th month.

Dear Monika,

I guess there' s no problem. I am in my 38th week of preg and am still working as I don have much stressful job.
So I guess you can go ahead. But donot compromise on your comfort and safety. Like in the past few weeks, I have started commuting by taxi instead of driving on my own.

Keep cusions/footrest near your seat so that you are relaxed.

Hi Monica

It is safe to work till the end..actually I know many of my friends, who came to office and realised they were in labour and directly went to hospital (well that is worst case scenario)
But as ur due date is Nov 14th..u can work till Oct last week...
My due date is Oct 6th and I am planning to work till Sept 21st.(well provided I dont deliver before that)

And coming to taking extra care..I would suggest that u walk slowly and do everything slowly..like waking up from bed etc..

and if u feel slightest discomfort visit ur doctor..
