I had recently known that I am 4 weeks pregnant, when i got diiferent checkups in that it came in fact that my TSH has increased to 15, though my T3 and T4 are normal. Doctor has started with medicine to control TSH ( thyroxine). I juat want to know would going on that medication is safe , can there be any complication due to this, I am even facing the problem of constipation . Is that normal , is that coz of increase TSH, what medication should I takle for that or its not recommendable to take any medication. PLs help me out.....

First of all,congratulations for ur pregnancy.
I' m from Dec board.Even i' m on medication for thyroid.
It' s completely safe to be on this TSH medication,moreover it' s necessary for the baby.Constipation is bcoz of thyroid,drink lots of water.U shld take the medicine wht ur doc is prescribing u,not any1 by ur own or suggested by somebody.
And don' t worry,ur baby will be fine.
