I live in canada & Doctors here told me they dont know the reason for my miscarriages.. ..i' m planning to go to India to check and see if the Doctors there have any solution ...could anybody give me the good specialist name in Bangalore? Also please tell me if anybody is facing the same issues...I' ve had 4 chemical pregnancies & 2 of them i saw heart beat @ 6 weeks...

Hi,

You can try to see Dr. Kamini Rao, BACC, Bangalore. She is very good in infertility treatments. I myself had undergone laprotomy for a fibroid removal and have had 2 pregnancies after this. The 2nd one was successful and have twin children who are about 1 and half years old now. A friend of mine who also had many miscarriages had a successful pregnancy after she started her treatment with her. Her kid is about 3 years old now. Another friend of mine went thro IVF at the same hospital and has a 2+ year old kid now. I have seen very very compicated cases very well handled and which have been successful with her. The only thing which is required from your side would be loads of patience due to very long waiting periods even for one single scan at her place. But believe me, it is worth all the trouble. Also, you will have to take an appointment for the first visit and this too might take quite a few days...

Hi Khushi,

Good to know that you spoke to BACC ppl. Before I forget, keep on following up with them " TACTFULLY" for anything and everything even when you are at the hospital. Do not assume that they would come to you with the results or any further action when you visit them They have lots and lots of patients and I think they cannot really keep track of every need of yours. When it is your problem, you need to ensure everything is moving smooth and in time. I wanted to say this because you said you have very less time in Bangalore and so it would be completely your responsibility to make efficient use of the time you have. As I already told you, the waiting times will be very long here which means you need to have lots of patience. I had seem some ppl ended up fighting too...

Now, coming to this case which I had told you, this girl is the DIL of my mom´ s friend... But it is very very rare that any of us go there so unfortunately I do not have any contact info of any of them. But I know the problem she had. This girl was actually a twin sibling herself and had a history of twins in her family too. The girl´ s MIL, my mom´ s friend was also a twin sibling, which means a history of twins in both the families for the girl. She was married for 7 to 8 eight years before she had a successful pregnancy. Her problem was not with the conception. She had thyroid problem though. But post conception, due to the history of twins she had, the ball of cells (foetus) would divide into many. Division into 2 or 3 is what leads to twins or triplets (all like ones). But division into many is useless. This was finally resulting in a miscarriage or forceful abortion. I think such things had happened atleast 4-5 times. This problem was corrected at BACC. I don´ t know how though.

I have heard of many more real complicated cases which probably we cannot even imagine being resolved here. Yes this will require one´ s optimisim and above everything God´ s blessings....

When you get some time, do read through my story in the thread " Lost my baby on 10th day - diaphragmatic .." ...just incase it inspires you...

Thanks a lot Krk..I called BACC & they said i can get an appointment if I call them one week earlier which sounds great. You said in your earlier e-mail that even your friend went through many miscarriages, I´ m very curious to know what was her issue & how they resolved it @ BACC. so I was wondering if by any chance I can chat with her & share her experience. I know it may sound crazy but i hope you understand my situation. Plz try only if possible....I´ ll always rem..ur help..thx..K.K

Hi Khushi,

I would suggest you call up and find out how many days do they take to give an appointment. I vaguely remember it is atleast 15 days after the call, one gets an appointment. I do not know what the time frame is now. Since you are there for a month, plan up such that you take an appointment as soon as you come to Bangalore. Also, many of their tests start on the 2nd or 3rd day of your periods... which means you need to plan up your first visit a little before this day. This will help you to make best use of the time you have during your stay here. Some of the tests (I dont know their names now), take atleast 3 weeks time for the results.. after which probably you get the a chance to visit Dr. Kamini Rao in person for the treatment you need to undergo if any. This would be your 2nd visit. The tests sometime will be for both the spouses. So see what suits you.

Regarding the place, I think she might be coming to manipal for visits only. But the hospital, BACC which I mentioned is what she owns I guess. So she is there atleast 5 days a week. I think it is this way even now... This would be a better place. BACC is inside Desai hospital, near Shivananda Circle... must be about 7-8 km from Hebbal flyover... This might be nearer to you than the manipal.

Wish you good luck... Hope this info help you.
