Health Concerns:Gestational Diabetes..please help

Hello everyone,
Iam 13w pregnant and diagonised with gestaional diabetes.My dr says it is 5.9mmol in fasting.Can anyone of you advise what type of diet plan did you follow.Ofcourse low in carbs,and sugar.But not eating enough food makes me really weak.I tremble sometimes.

Following is the plan I followed during my pregnancy.
Morning Breakfast ( upto 45 cal) : 1/2 2 % cup milk( abt 15 cal) and cereal . every cereal box has the amout of cal specified and.

Morning snack( after 2to 3hr gap) : almonds about 20 to 25 ( any kind of dry fruits)

Lunch ( abt 60 cal) : I used to get low carbtortills abt 8 carbs each, 1/2 cup vegetable curry ( any curry except potato)

evening snack( abt 15 cal after 2 to 3 hr gap) : protein bars are avaliable ( kellogs) which have abt 15 cal per bar

Dinner : same as lunch

Night before bedtime have about 1/2 cup milk ( 2 hr gap after dinner)

If you do eat non-veg, its all protein and fat. chicken is the best as it has less fat and 0 carbs. if your hungry just grill chicken , its very tasty.

Hope i helped you . I was in the same sitution but I controlled my it diet. I have a beautifull daughter who just turned one yesterday.
