Hi all,
That’s good that u all are trying so many things. My son is very fussy abt eating. I give him only half banana that too mixed in cerlac.
After reading the post i think i will try Chico, strawberry and other fruits to.
Had any one tried mangoes? Now they are easily available. Are they good for babies??/

i live in california and gerber food is available at any kids store or any departmental store. they r completely safe but i prefer giving her fresh homemade food unless i go out.
as roops told u...u dont need to cook banana, chikoo and strawberry.
hey frankly i dont know bananas with there names. i give her normal big bananas bcoz they r easily available.

Hi prathi..
if u r in bangalore, u´ ll find gerber foods in Blues n pinks shop..also many of the baby shops will have it..they are widely used abroad and in india its catching up slowly..i wud say for everyday food, its better to stick with fresh hoem made stuff. But for travelling, they are very handy..

banana, chickoo and strawberry dont need to be cooked..make sure u peel the chickoo skin before giving..
i usually give elakki banana to Yashita..

hi sunita

i think they r safe...i started giving corn flakes to my baby when she was 6...but she didnt like it much so now i dont give her. my aunty used to give corn flakes to her children and there was no problem at all. if u hv any doubts u can consult to ur doc b4 feeding her.

hi sunita

when i was in india i gave apoorva cerelac and she had loose motion. doc told me that cerelac doesnt suit her. i think it doesnt suit suvi too. so u need to give her fresh food only.
when u r out u can give her fruits that doesnt need to be cook like banana, chickoo, strawberry. u can also carry crumed cornflakes and warm milk. just mix them together and feed ur baby. u can also cook and pack some food if u r going out for sometime only.

Hi Sunita..
for the home made food, there is actually a lot of options..
as everyone has suggested, try different fruits at a time and try mixing them once a while..also try veges like carrot, potato, sweet potato etc..give dal, rice and vegatable..since u have started solids now, these should be a good start..
