Due Date Club April 2004:interpreting GTT result

I am expecting my GTT result in 2 days so can anyone tell me whats the normal level? Also what should be the normal hemoglobin level in pregnancy?

the normal Hb level is 11-14mg/dl and glucose level is 80-140mg/dl.
mine was 96 sugar and 13.9 hb and doctor was very pleased with both results.

Hi tina:

This is the first time iam mailing u and hope u r doing good. Even my sugar level was 138 in the GTT and my doctor said she considers anything above 130 is border line as our blood sugar tends to increase as the pregnancy progresses and so she asked me to take the 3-hour test. Dont get scared this is just an information and u can get this clarified from ur doctor and if u want u can take up the 3 hour test to clear things.

Thanks priya for letting me know. I had my doc appt today. asked him about this. he said its ok as long as its not more than 140. anyway they would be checking my blood sugar in my future visits, not fasting blood sugar but the normal way. today they checked and it was 104.
hope u and baby are doing good.

Hb Level

Hi Mansi,
Normal sugar level is 70 to 140 and
normal Haemoglobin level is 11 to 14.
Mine was 11.1
I am taking two iron capsules a day.

Thanks for letting me know. My sugar level is 81 and hemo is 12.7 and they said its normal.

So how are you and the baby doing? did u started any baby shopping?

blood sugar level values below 140 is the normal range for gtt. mine was 138. as it was close to 140, i took another one hour test and that was also less than 140. so there is no problem.
not sure abt the normal hemoglobin level.

I just called my doc's office to find out my result - its is 81 and they said its good so I am much relieved now :-)

hi mansi, my doc didnt mention the levels at all, when i had been on my next appointment i just asked him as to how was my test, he said nothing to worry and i cleared it , and have no high sugarlevels.. thats it.. so iam not sure abt the level thing sorry i know this is not a answer your qustion, just htought will let you kknow abt my test..

My doc did mentioned that they wont be calling me if the result is good but its just I was bit concerned after all the sweet stuffs I had on our hershey trip :-)
