My son has completed 10 days. I have noticed small red eruptions which come and go. They are mainly on his face, hands and legs. If he sleeps for a long time his face is clear, but if he is awake these eruptions appear from nowhere. What should I use?

What would you advice for general face and body application after sponge bath?

Another thing.... he is on one breast for min 10 minutes and then he falls asleep. So the Q is when he feeds next should I offer him the same breast or the other one. I am very confused re. this fore milk and hind milk. Please explain this very clearly to me.

Iam from the March04 board.I just happened to see ur post.My baby had the acne too.It will go away by itself soon.Don't worry about that....It seems the baby too goes thru the same pregnancy hormones u go through & acne is how it gets out of the body.

Pimples/acne is very normal and your Son is doing great. No need to worry on that part. I won't apply anything on that area.

Advaid had them and I did not apply anything. Make sure you clean face first and then go to body, go from clean to dirty area.

Are you bathing him? Academy does not recommend until 1 month, I did bath Advait from 21 days, when his cord fell off.

Do you apply some oil on face, if yes then stop doing that, this will make him acne free.

Milking and feeding.
You can offer him one breast at each time or both breast at each time. This will depends on how much your Son needs. If he is asleep in 10 minutes on one breast all is well and nothing to worry on fore/hind milk, this is just old wives tale. You can offer him next time another breast, so that the one given for prior feed makes more milk and the one you are given is full with milk, this way your son will always get enough milk for his need.
