Health Concerns:Low amniotic fluid

I got a bio-physical scan in 32nd week and found that my amniotic fluid was less (AFI - 6). My doctor suggested a amino acid infusion (Intra venous). i underwent the procedure and got a scan done again in my 33rd week. i found that aminotic fluid has increased a bit AFI - 10.The doctor told me that this is just adequate and may not be sufficient. The doctor said I might have to go for pre term delivery in another 2 to 3 weeks (i am currently in 34th week) if the fluid level dips further. However, i prefer to have the child after 36 or 37 weeks when it reaches full term. Is that possible? If yes, what are all the precautionary measures that i need to take? Any help posted will be of great help!

hi,
it is a common symptom of less amniotic fluid at this stage ...but again less is not good as it may bring in other complication
to break ur misconception a 36 week preg is considered full term and birth after that is absolutly fine the doc jst chks 2 thing if wt is adequate or nt and the lungs have dev or nt ...
also if u insist to carry on ur prge beyond a certain time when some prob is there it can lead to baby and maternal distress which might b fatal so the doc suggestion is the best at this stage ...
even i will be going through a elective c section as i have Gd though controlled but might b hazardous if preg is prolonged beyond 36 th week
