I have 8 more days for my due date and as of my last internal check up which was a week ago, nothing had progressed..so I'm just waiting for what my doctor will say at my next visit (the day after tomorrow).

I haven't had an ultrasound since my 24th week and every time I bring up the topic asking for another u/s my doc just brushes the topic away...do you think I should force a request on her for an u/s? She says everything’s normal in my last u/s and that I need not worry. We're really curious to know what's going on in there! Everybody comments that my tummy is BIG and I really wonder what the baby weighs? I keep wondering if the baby's going to fit into the birth canal etc..isn't it good for the doc to know these facts too? Or can she just guess the size of the baby looking at my belly? Somehow she never gives me a concrete answer and for any question I ask she says “everything depends on the labor” This makes me nervous. Please advice.

Typically in US you would have offered an ultrasound in around/after week 34. If not then don't worry, it depends on Dr. to Dr. If she is OK with your progress don't worry.

No need to strongly advise, sometime you can offend a little to Dr. Hope I am not upsetting you by saying this.

About tummy, I was always asked if I carry twins in my last month. I knew I was carrying singlet. Three days before birth baby weight 6 pounds and 12 ounce by ultrasound but that was not true as he was 7 pound and 9 ounce when born, so definitely he was more than 7 pound when ultrasound was taken, precisely 7 pounds and 6 ounces.

Do not worry on normal or C-section, it really is situation dependent. Keep positive, will help baby not to get in stress and will decend easily. Help yourself.

If you are so anxious why not to induce anytime before due date or just at around EDD. It's fine when you are completed 38 weeks.
