Have you had an ectopic pregnancy? What kind of symptoms did you witness? Do you know of anyone who overcame an ectopic pregnancy?
aj raj replied. you never overcome an ectopic, it stays with you for the rest of your life, seeing your dream on a scan and the heart beat etc then being told \" it has to come out or you will die\" knowing you have no choice, you have to do it,its an awful feeling, no words can ever describe the pain one feels from an ectopic, you feel empty..its awful. especially if you are overweight like me and they have to do a full c section leaving 13 staples, its awful. if you think you are having an ectopic seek help from a medical professional.x
aj raj replied. I had an ectopic pregnancy, i came on my period very lightly and presumed it was still a period, never gave it another thought, slowly i started feeling dizzy, sick, sleepy, dry mouth and pain on my right side, again i thought it was a bug then i started to bleed and continued to bleed although it was only light brown it still wasn' t like me for this to happen. if you get pain in your side, the hcg levels are not doubling and you are bleeding(even if its just a pinky brown) those are signs of ectopic. if the ectopic is noticed early an injection can be given to terminate the tubal pregnancy if left like mine for 6 weeks and 4 days then an operation is needed to remove it and possibly the tube depending on how it is damaged, if it goes untreated the tube will rupture causing internal bleeding, at this stage you will notice a sharp pain in the tip of your shoulder, trouble breathing. if you suspect you are having one you must demand blood tests, have a scan and ask for them to scan both tubes.x
Sangeetha replied. Ectopic pregnancy is still a pregnancy so the symptoms will be the same, that is why until an ultra-sound, or worse, pain, rupturing, occur, it is not known that is an ectopic pregnancy. If you are pregnant and worried, just make sure that if you start having pain then you tell your doctor. The symptoms can be the same as a normal pregnancy. They can include missed periods, breast tenderness, nausea, vomiting, or frequent urination. Bleeding and spotting can be another sign. If you are pregnant, in any form, a home pregnancy is capable of detecting the pregnancy hormone. If you are concerned, you should have a blood test done. However, I would wait until I was 1-2 weeks past my expected period. It could just be stress that has delayed it.
Prachi replied. With ectopic pregnancy the levels are usually lower than usual and the symptoms are same as a regular pregnancy. You are probably fine so remember stress is super bad for the baby just wait and see and go by the rule the baby is fine until a doctor tells you other wise if your not bleeding or having other problems than just wait try not to worry yourself. My best pal had an ectopic pregnancy and ended up internally bleeding. She was rushed to the hospital or and after 5 hours of surgery she lost one of her fallopian tubes. Usually an ectopic pregnancy is an emergency situation. You should get a second opinion before you end up being rushed to emergency surgery.
Sangeetha replied. You should go to the doctor as soon as possible. A tubal pregnancy could be life threatening. Go to the doctor and get checked out, even if you come up fine, at least you will know you are okay. Well normally there isn' t a lot of pain with an ectopic pregnancy till the tube is about to burst, at which point you normally need surgery and quick. I heard that ectopic pregnancies are not too common. The only symptom that I know of during this kind of pregnancy is bleeding. Other then your regular period I mean. And you could also have a internal bleeding which could cause serious problems.
