Hi Archie,

My earlier due date was Sept 25th but now the doc says the due date might go ahead by li'l more than a week ,Oct 4th..

last friday when i went for the check up the doc said the baby has not yet eangaged..i go walking and try to do light household chores but still the baby hasn't come to the position..this worries me..

One more thing that i wanted to know that,my doc was telling her colleague that i have a posterior cervix,after internal examination..i want to know what does that mean and how will that affect the pregnancy..i know it is not a complication..

Also, if the baby isn't eangaged even after two weeks,will they induce pain or go straight for an c-section? normally what wud be the next procedure in such a condition...

Dear Swathi,
it is difficult to estimate today as to whether posterior cervix will lead to C-section or normal birth.

I would imagine you will be given choice of induction and if things progress well and your cervix is fully dilated and have good size pelvis you can have this baby normal otherwise no doubt it's C-section.

Vaginal examinations can be little painful with posterior cervix.

About EDD, they will change based on babys growth, as long as the descrapancy is of 2 weeks no worry.
