I know this sounds silly, but any way thoought of asking you all.. is it safe to eat honey during pregnancy. I have n't read any where that you should not take honey during pregnancy. Sree replied. i think this is the first time i am writing to u.when is ur due.mine is on 19 april.
when u consume sugars,honey etc u get empty calories ie calories without any useful nutrients.any other foods will give u calories no doubt but they will be accompanied by some or the other nutrients like proteins,vitamins and minerals.which will u choose
1 tbsp honey -- 60 cals only
or
3/4 glass milk -- almost same calories
+ 6 g protein
+ about 100mg calcium
+ other vit and minerals
it is all in the choices we make.however if u have any other significance of taking it,go ahead but limit it to not more than 1 tsp/day.
