Miscarriage and Child Loss:Miscarriage twice
2008-07-10
Name: Lilac

I had two miscarriages between July 2007 and May 2008. The first one was a missed abortion and D&C performed at 10 weeks as heart beat was not seen. The second one was a blighted ovum at 7 weeks and i miscarried naturally. Myself and my husband did some blood tests, all blood tests are normal for both of us. Husband' s semen analysis showed a discrepancy from normal and he has been advised to take medicines for 1 month and do a re-test. He will be doing a re-analysis sometime in another 1-2 weeks. Meantime I feel i should go ahead and do a follicular study and / or take a 2nd opinion. The above tests were done at my home town with a reputed doc, so should we repeat the tests again at our current place (Bangalore)? If yes, what other tests should I do, best places for follicular study in Bangalore? Folks, we need your help.

Thanks a lot Sangeeta, you know what, i consulted a doc in Bangalore with all the test results and she diagnosed me with the same - thrombophilic disorder. She then asked me to conceive naturally and from day 1 of positive HPT, i need to take some medicines + dose of heparin if required. Is that what you had been too? If yes, for how many months?.. Thanks once again.:)

Her husband was a doctor too, but besides all the knowledge they could do nothing. Then they tried going for IVF. At first they were resistant, they were double minded. Hey! I hope you are doing well. Miscarriages are a terrible thing that can happen to a family. It is like your dream of having a child and the next moment it is all gone. There are various reasons why miscarriages happen. But I do not think that miscarriages should affect the relationship. It is the responsibility of the husband to understand that no one is at fault. If th... - Irene Camron [View Message]
