Hi,
As its suggested that pregnannt woman shud always sleep at sides. I had been practising the same. Since past few days I had been suffereing from aches at the bomnes of side on which I sleep. I can' t sleep for more than 2 hrs and wake up because the pain is so severe. when I take a turn to other side same thing repeats. I have also increased the dose of calcium but even that hasn' t helped.

Subject:  Hi Guys,

Hi,

Since u all are sleeping on ur sides, but an idesal position to sleep is to sleep on ur left side with pillow in between ur lrgs to give u support.
The pain that you are talkin about is merely because of the lil one fixed firmly and since you move to one side he/she also bends over to the same side...putting pressure on ur ribs, or sides or back(whichever position u lay). It is perfectly normal to change sides while sleeping. Sleeping on the left hand side would help youre little one to get fixed in the head down position just incase its in a breech position still.

And please dnt increase your intake on ANY medicine without the permission of your doc as this might harm ur child. There are a lot of substitutes available for Calcium, so medicines in all ways should be avoided to the max.

Hope this post helped u all in sme way.

Keep up the High Spirits.....hve fun and njoy ur pregnancy.

Hi All,

I' m also feeling same kind of pain .
but i used Pillows on my side this will help in reducing pain.

You should not lie one side whole night try changing position in between.

Bye

it is good for pregy women to sleep on sides but u can relax on ur back for a while & then sleep on side.
I too hv pain sometimes, then wat i do is lay on my back straight & relax for a while not more than a minute & then turn on my side.
I keep on doing this after evry hour or two while sleeping.
also, sometimes I sit down on bed & relax my muscles then lay down on my side.
while sleeping on ur side u shud hv a pillow between both of ur legs, this also help in reducing pain.
Plz. don' t increase intake of any tonic or medicine without doctor' s prescription.
If u feel like having more calcium then try to hv more milk & milk products instead of tablets. Don' t make ur body addictive of these tablets. Take minimum of them & try to bear the pain.
Just 2 months more to go...
Best of luck & take care.
Maanya

I am also experiencing the same kind of pain and also severe pain while changing sides ...the best solution that the doctor suggested me and I also found useful is to cushion yourself with lots of pillows.....the pain doesn' t go away but it does help in sleeping. Hope it works for you...all the best !!
