Hi all,

Hope u all r in good spirits & enjoying this phase of life as I' m.
the rh factor of me & my husband & different my blood group is A -ve & my hubby' s is O +ve. So, my doc hv prescribed me to take an injection.
Is there a similar situation wid anyone else also in the group.
Plz. tell, hv u been also given/prescribed such an injection.
If yes, is there any care to b taken before or after this injection.
Plz. share all ur views & suggestions regarding the above.

i took an injection in my 26 th week my blood is o-ve and to my surprise the doctor did nt checked my husbands and without that she said me to go for rhlg injection.i thought may be this is a precaution.u no need to worry nothing special precautions to be taken b4 this one.all the best

Hi Maanya,

Hope you are doing fine..
Even my rh factor differs with my hubby' s. mine is B -ve and my hubby' s is A +ve.
My doctor suggested for Indirect Coombs test, which resulted -ve. Though result is -ve she prescribed me to take an Anti D 300mg injection.
I took the injection at 26th week.
The other injection should be taken after delivery after checking the baby' s cord blood.
Though ur baby' s blood group matches with ur blood group u have to take the same injection, so that it does' nt create any problem when u try for second child....

Even my mom' s blood group is B -ve, she did the same when i was born...
so i think we need not worry in any case.... everything will go fine.

I' ll update u regarding this if i get to know anything new...

This site is not letting me post the msg. I want to say that everything is fine with you dont worry. the same case was with my sister in law and she delivered a baby boy without any problems. take care
