Health Concerns:Pain under the ribs

Hi..
I ve been experiencing pain under my breast area for a few days now. I m in my 24th week. I wanted to know if its common and if anything can be done to alleviate the pain. I spoke to a murse at my hospital and she said such pains are due to the baby pushing the organs towards the ribs. Any suggestions?

Hi there!

I am in my 22nd week, and am also experiencing pain in my right rib, just below the right breast. But the pain starts only in the evening, and it goes away if I lie flat on my back, or if sleep on my back at night. Has your pain gone away? Did you do anything that helped? I would really appreciate any guidance you could give. thanks!

Honey (I am in the October 04 board)

Hi Honey

sorry for the delayed reply. Yeah, the pain under my ribs just disappeared after a few days..It lasted for about 2, 3 weeks and it helped if I rested. Standing for a long time aggravated it.
I hope you are feeling better too.
take care

Dear Juls,
This is pregnancy and you will meet many such discomforts.
Hey but good news is your baby is working as it should. You may start sometime now to add some fat layers in lower portion of breast to start preparing first milk.
Buy some new bras, might help going to upper cup size.
Baby kicks and pushing up will definitely make it feel the way you do.

Take care
Archie
