Hi! i am about 2 weeks pregnant (through IUI) and also have ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. My doctor has advised bedrest for the next two months as she says that this is very delicate time.

can anybody advise - can i continue with normal activities as long as i don' t physically exert myself. is bedrest really necessary.

Sister,
Though this is my first preg but i am putting my time in reading related info from good sites or books. u can also google it but pls remember while reading that there may be things that make u worry but just trust God and keep praying. i have read that ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome is due to over stimulation of ovaries during fertility/IUI treatment, and in such situation u sud be much careful then usual. In normal preg also we sud slow down in first three mths and in ur case it is very important so pls understand and don’t take it lightly. I don’t wnt to make u afraid but rather make u more serious towards ur situation that if u will take it lightly there are more chances of risk to ur baby or ur health. So if ur gynac advise u bed rest then pls dont ignore it. it may be boring but it is very necessary for u and ur baby. atleast for 1st trimester u sud be more then careful. take lots of rest, keep eating little and healthy all day, read relevant info, think positive and keep praying. I wish u have a safe preg and delivery and a blessed baby. May HE help u. pls take care very good care of urself. Regards.
