I really like the point of using carpool. Yes, rather than traveling by cars children should try to walk. Not only children but even adults should try to use public transport like buses and trains whenever possible. The fewer the number of cars, the lesser will be the pollution in the air. And when you walk, there is no fuel burned at all, so no pollution.
