Due Date Club September 2007:Tetanus Injection

Name: himi sarin Hi All...I am into my 30th week my EDD is 12th sept and live in USA...was just wondering has any of my friends here in the US been given the tetanus injection...i have not been prescribed for it by the doc but learnt that in india it is usually given to the expectant mothers...pls update me on this...thanks in advance !!!

Hi Himi,

I am 14 wks preg.my doc told me one preg womenshud get two tetanus injections. The last injection shd be 4 wks before ur delivery then only it will affect the baby.

Hi

I am in Japan and even I am not adviced to take TT injection. I asked doctor about this and she said here they dont have practice to give tetanus injection to pregnant ladies.
I hope someone in US replies.
