Archie and all ,

i have been having brown mucus like discharge, i think it is what they call bloody show ?? little of it was there and then when i wipoed , there was some more ...

i spoke with my nurse and she said it could be a sign of early early albor , as long as i do not get red blood , hard contractions and can feel movements, she said i am fine ...

i am 36W4D today , dont u not think it is too early for this ?? do u think i should stay at home and take rest or can i go abt my everyday routine ??

-P

Dear P.,
yes it's mucous plug only.
you can expect labor in next 7-14 days.
Since you have completed 36 weeks you should not worry on preterm, because your baby is full term and nothing to worry about.

Try to avoid exertion and strainful activities.

keep well hydrated and watch for contractions.

Most of all, get excited to hold your little princess!

Archie

Hi my advice it to take rest and stay relax.Stay well hydrated and they also advice you to pass urine as soon a you even feel a tingle.Stay rested and sleep on your left side.
My son was born 3 weeks early and healthy child .They asked me to do all this and this time i have to watch that too.But i also had UTI which pushes labout a lot and that's what happen to me then unfortunalty i am having UTI again so i am very careful this time. And preterm are usually before 37th week but that is all fine i want you to rest and relax really since it sound like labour .wait and watch for other sign.
take care hope things work out

hi hopinfortejas,

Well i happened to read about another girl having the same thing in her 36 week in another forum , and for her it was early labor... this brown discharge could be your mucous plug...
are you having any contractions as well??

i hope you feel better, if i were you, i would take complete rest... i'll pray for you... pls keep us posted...

take care,
poochy
