Did you know the names of Santa Claus' reindeer? Has your child ever asked you about them? Do you feel these characters add charm to Christmas?

Subject:  Rudolph?

I never knew that Rudolph was not one of Santa Claus' original reindeers. This is because I grew up only hearing about Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. Now, after reading this article I have realised that the original eight reindeer were different. Are there any Christmas carols about the other reindeer?

I liked the story about the reindeer. I have read the poem ' Night before Christmas' before. It is a truly beautiful poem. If you close your eyes, you will actually feel as if you are in the same setting and you are waiting for Santa Claus to come and leave a present for you. Do you know of any other Christmas stories.

Thank you so much for this article. Just the other day, my daughter was asking me about Santa' s reindeer. They are having a Christmas play in school and she is playing one of them. So she wanted to know all about the reindeer. Luckily I came to your site and saw this article.
