Due Date Club September 2007:leg cramps at 27 th week

hi all,last night i found leg cramps.they hurt me a lot especially my left leg.my friend this is due to lack of pottassium and calcium .she advised me to eat lot of bananas and drink milk .any advices?

hmm.. leg cramps could be due to some deficiency....
but during pregnancy... the blood circulation to your legs and other parts... since the blood is directed towards ur fetus..

yess.. stretching exercises helped me a lot too...
and the other thing is.. the moment you feel a cramp coming.. immediately stand on your feet... it goes away... without leaving pain.
and drinl lots of fluids!

i too had frequent leg cramps but leg stretching and walking heelped me a lot.

Hi deeps

I am in 26th week and I get leg cramps very often...
I am not taking any extra calcium..only thing I do is walking...I walk for 1 hour and it is really helping me..
In my case, doctor told me that leg cramps are because of lack of blood circulation..so they adviced me to do walking.
I hope this helps.

i have been searching for baby boy names and accidently came over to this website.by reading the message boards i found very useful things.my due date is on sep 24 th and i had my sonogram and it was a boy.
i m going for an walk i felt it is little better.thnaks for your valuable advise.

The leg cramps are due to deficiency of something...the reason is not really known i guess but to avoid it u can do some leg exercises (yoga). or after dinner take a walk for 15-20 min also taking a warm water bath before sleeping helps relax muscle.
I had the same problem from the 4th month but cause of exercises its much better...Don' t miss out the healthy food ofcourse. Try these and let me know...
