Name: Rama Subramanian
Dear Khan,
First of all, I would like you to cheer-up, eventhough it is a very bad experience.
I can understand your feelings, as I too had the same experience in Jan this year.
Here are some of the precautions:
1. Dont stand and cook for more than 25 mins. (If nobody is there to assit you)Get all things ready and then start cooking (liking cutting vegetables, etc) Standing for long time is not recommended during this time - upto to your first periods.
2. Try to figure out the reason for mis-carriage, eventhough there are thousands of reasons. I had a viral infection. A Test called Torch Test (a comprehensive blood test)is taken to find out the reasons) My gynae told me that due to viral infection (its called as Rubella - german measles-which was the prime cause for my problem.)I had miscarriage. If possible try to take thryoid, sugar and haemoglobin test ( i was asked to take)
3. Avoid sex for the next 3 months ( you should have your first two periods without any problem)
4. Dont lift heavy items. After your first periods, consult your Dr. again to know whether your uterus and ovaries have come back to the normal position. ( I had this done)
5. If you had gained weight, try to bring it down, but definetely only after 2 months.
6. Continue to have prenatal vitamins (folic acid) if you wish to plan for a baby after 3 months.
These were the precautions given by my Dr.
Please let know in which country you are? If you are in U.A.E i would suggest the same Dr. whom i am consulting.
All the very best.
bye
rama
