hi all,

I am now in the 16th week. had an u/s during my 8th week and everything was normal. Now, of late, I have no symptoms of nausea and no other symptom except mild abdominal pain now and then.

Is anybody else experiencing the same situation?
I am getting worried if evrything is fine.

Hi Kala,
It seems we are sailing in the same boat..I am in the 16.4 week now and I have no nausea and unpleasant feelings now. I confirmed with my doctor and she said the 2nd trimester is the best part of pregnancy and this is the time we can go around and shop for the kiddo!So enjoy it and pamper yourself.

Hi Kala,

Dont worry:) You and your baby are absolutely fine. Now that you have crossed 1st trimester,all the pregnancy symptoms- nausea gets vanished.

The abdominal pain you get is mainly because your uterus is stretching. Does the pain exist for long? I talked to my doctor yesterday and she said it is absolutely normal. For me the pain exist for a fraction of second,before I realize the pain its gone.

So dont worry. You can talk to your gynec and get clarified:)

Hi kala,

Usually the initial blood tests are done for hCg levels, rh, rubella, hiv, iron, and some more... they do that during your first appt.

Hi Aaradhana,

the pain subsides in a couple of seconds but keeps coming back. may be it is just something not to worry about.

My next appointment with the doc is a couple of weeks away and will ask her about it.

Did you have any other tests done other than the U/s and the urine tests? Lot of my relatives tell me to get a blood test and say that it should have been done by now. Am not too sure about it as my doc dint suggest anything so..
