Due Date Club February 2006:Reduced Baby Movements

Hi!
I am 37weeks today and kinda feel a reduced baby movements. It's not that the baby movements are totally absent but they are very very mild and not those bumpy ones. Is this normal or do you think I need to check with the doc.

Have heard of baby movement tracking/counting does any one know how to do it? Any comments/suggestions are welcomed. I am really concerned and worried.

reduced movements are due to crowded uterus and is normal.
if worried get heart beat checked at your Obs office, give a casual call and get all confirmed.

Hi,
I am from March board. For the past 2 - 3 days i am also feeling lesser movements. I am in my 30th week only. I was wondering as to whether this is normal or whether i need to check with my Gynic. In advanced stages, they say we need to count 10 baby movements between 9 AM and 12 Noon. If we are unable to have that track on any day then we need to count 3 counts between 12:00 and 1:00.Same counts in evening also.If this is there then things are fine. This was what i have heard. But i am only in my 30th week and doubt if this is applicable for me. Also, i have not started counting the movements now. Did any of u have such lesser movements around 30 weeks?..Is it normal?..Pls suggest. Thanks
Ranjini

Hey,
Baby movements will be lesser now because the baby has grown in size and has almost run out of space and hence only squirms now - as long as you can feel some squirming/movement - that should be good ! Sometimes when I don't feel any movement - or have been too busy to watch out for any - I usually have a cold glass of milk/water along with something sweet and sit down - after some time I am able to feel some movement -
Hope this helps you !
