hai everyone,
I have been married for 5 years now and had 4 miscarriages(all 6 weeks) in a row.I am deeply depressed and want to have baby ASAP.I am dying to know why I am miscarrying in the second month.
I will be in India for 6 months this year.I would like to know whether in India all GENETIC TESTS and IMMUNOLOGY related tests done for recurrent miscarriages are available.
Please educate me on this as I wanna do all those panel of tests in India as it would be more affordable for me.

Thanks.

Hi,I could understand your worryness as i was on the same phase.I had twice miscarriage. I am in hyderbad so i went to a good nurshing home. And they gave me to do all the tests. Karyotype of parents-The genetic test,(I have done here in hyderabad - in Genetics - its cost is 4100, semen analysis of my husband and another test to check for any blockage in ovary , and at least they find a problem with polycystic ovary so i took medicine for this and now everything goes fine.

Hi Kamea,

I am incredibly sorry to know that you have suffered like you have. I think that having tests done to investigate the reasons behind your mosses is exceptionally important. Approximately 1 in 100 women will suffer with recurrant miscarriage so trying to find the cause and prevent it is very much the key to your happiness. Here is some infor that I found online that I hope will help you a bit

Autoimmune
Anti-phospholipid Antibodies - $120-$236
Anti-cardiolipin Antibodies - $120
Lupus Anticoagulant - $60-$120

Infectious
Ureaplasma culture - $40-$60
Ureaplasma & Mycoplasma billed together - $84
Gonorrhea culture - $40-$60
Chlamydia culture - $28-$95
Syphilis - $40
Toxoplasmosis - $65
Rubella - $30
CMV - $120
HEP B&C - $70
HIV I & II - $80

Thyroid
Thyroid panel (TSH) - $62- $93

Chromosomal
Chromosome Testing on Fetal (Miscarriage) Tissue - $559-$1000

This can only be done right at the time of miscarriage. It is an analysis of the genetic makeup of the fetus. It can indicate genetic problems that lead to RPL. Many miscarriages are caused by chromosomal abnormalities that are unlikely to repeat. To know if the problem is likely to recur, it is necessary to study the genetics of both parents as well.

Karyotyping of Parents - $250-$500 each
Chromosome analysis of blood of both parents. It can show if there is a potential problem with one of the parents that leads to miscarriage, but often has to be done in conjunction with fetal testing to provide answers.

These tests help rule out the 3% or so of partners that carry a \" hidden\" chromosomal problem called a balanced translocation.

Anatomical
Abdominal Ultrasound - $150-$300
Transvaginal Ultrasound - $80-$200
Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) - $200-$700
Hysteroscopy - $755-$4,002
Laparoscopy - $1,700-$5,500

Luteal Phase Defect
Serum Progesterone Level - $24-$79
Endometrial Biopsy (EMB) - $75-$305

Alloimmune
Leukocyte Antigen crossmatch and Natural Killer Cells - $245
Embryo Toxicity Panel - $242

Diabetes
Fasting Blood Sugar - $30

I should imagine you would want to look into what out of pocket expenses there are and off set it against the cost of returning and paying for them in India. I sincerly hope that you' re able to find answers and solutions to this tragic problem. God bless
