Hi everyone. We hv selected a doc based on recomendation from someone. But we r not happy with this doc. We r looking for a good doc in our area. I would like to know from u what points to consider while selecting a doctor. sp replied. HI Radhika
u shd consider the folwng points >
1)the doc shd be experienced (ask ur relatives and friends who delivered there)and well equipped.
2)close proximty .it will save time and money of travel.
3)shd be cool-headed...if you are not comfortable b' coz of doc' d hurrying nature then u shd chnage.
4)shd be able 2 answr all your questions without making u feel uncomfortable.
5)most imp. of all..she shd be up-to-date abt all new techniques in Ob Gynae procedures.u can take help frm any staff or nurse working under her/him.also have a look at the clinic/hospital during ur waiting time.
6)its better if she stays closeby.so u r attended promptly.
7)if u r visiting big hosp.where ur doc is consulting there ask before hand if she is avaailable any time (if working in many hospitals then u he/she maynt be available always ..so better if he/she is a resident doc)
8)dont conclude abt doc' s efficiency on the basis of the fees charged.
9)also check the labour-room,wards ,neo-natal wards ,etc before hand.
