Just a background...when I got pregnant the ultrasound guy gave me first a date of 10/10 and then during next u/s gave me 10/12. When I asked him he wished washed and said oh same thing. So we have stuck to 10/10. Now I am overdue and as it goes doctor suggested me to go into Induction on Wed. My pregnancy has been smooth with no complications...Before Wed he wanted me to go thru a NST test and the nurse said things look absolutely fine and terrific and I could wait for things to happen naturally. I talked to my doctor and asked him that I would rather wait than get induced ASAP.
He is now pissed at me. I saw him yesterday Wed and he said I had lost the plug and around 1 finger tip dialted...and recommned that if I dont go into tonight then I should go for NST today. However the NST appt could not be made today as the hospital is full..I have one for tomorrow at this time the doctor is behaving like what ever u want to do ...and not talking much. I feel this is a real immature behavior or am I overreacting ?
I wanted to know is it safe to go over and wait for natural labor to start or should I just go infor induction ?

Please advice.
Also advice if anyone has changed doctors at this stage... I am in the bay area and recommendations are welcome...

I do not recommend to anybody to have a change of Dr. at this stage, that's absolutely non-essential and uncertain of outcome.

what holds you behind from induction? Just the comments made by Nurse? Who you trust the most Dr. or Nurse? The main essense is missing in your case and that's trust between Dr. and patient. It is also a little inappropriate to call \";immature\"; to your Dr.
Remember each one is different, also read my post on \";how to manage a postdate pregnancy\";. Each Dr. vary on this aspect and each one of us are obliged to comply with than complaining about their way of handing. Dr. will do the best for you and baby won't do things just to harm you. Also at this stage it's not very good idea to suggest Dr. what to do, s/he is an expert and can get upset with suggestions. Especially postdate pregnancy are concern to some Drs. not to all.

If you read my birth story on July2004 you will realize I was unhappy with C-section choice and seemed all in rush. Knowing that I could have been there in about few hours I hold my tongue than suggesting Dr. Because all I knew was two lives were in her hands. And I think you should realize this point.

There are numerous who get vaginal birth with Induction. There are also numerous who ends up in having emergency C-section so that be the labor was induced or naturally happened.

Do not hold things against the procedure. The more you hold against the higher the stress on baby and you to cope up with labor.
