I would like to know is that okey to eat sesame seeds when pregnant. I just bought burger with sesame seeds. I remember one of my fren told me shouldn' t eat sesame seed.....but as far as I know I only cannot take pineapple, papaya and sugar cane drinks. I' m worried now I ate the burger already as I was very hungry....pls help. FYI, my pregnancy in 3 weeks old. siya replied. a little of it makes no difference....a lot of it and that too everyday could be a cause of concern reema replied. absolutly fine ....eat it no prob...in india its too much of superstition and old wives tale ... and all back dated idea of not eating pineapple or sugar cane( donot take the one which is comercially available)or papaya...ginger tea...dont sit cross leg ... etc all the crap..
beleive me in my second mnth i had totaly ripe papaya nothing happneed... yes avoid the unripe one as it contains high amnt of pectin which might dislodge the foetus...
pls be scientific and when such old wives tale comes up ask ur doc for an explanation nothing should b accepted blindly

don' t worry much abt the burger.... they say u shd not eat sesame during first 3 months of pregnancy...but thts the belief in india...medically theres no such restriction... just to be on the safer side try n avoid it till 3 months... don' t stress urself too much abt it...cuz dis stress is more harmful den sesame...take care
