Due Date Club April 2004:Which one is good?

Hello everybody,
How are you all doing till now?Hope everrything is going on well with you and your lit one.I have a question and i am confused to decide which one is good? I had been drinking Fat Free Milk in my pregnancy till now bcoz i heard that there is no much differance between VitD Milk and Fat Free Milk except the Fats are not present in Fat Free. But some of my friends are telling that its good to have VitD milk now bcoz we and our baby also need the fats. They are also telling that Doctors recommend to drink VitD milk,Cheese&Ghee and all in pregnancy and also after delivery. So i thought it would be better to ask you all guys suggestions bcoz i have loved the messages and conversation of you all before and also believe that you give a very perfect answer.Hope to listen from you soon.

Take Care & Enjoy

Thankyou for giving me a prompt reply i will now switch to 1% or 2% milk bcoz i dont have a weight problem and my doctor never told me that i am underweight so i think i should not bother much.

Preeti,

I used to take skim milk in my 1st trim but as the baby needs some fat also I switched to 2% from my 2nd trim. As anuya said if u r weight gain is normal its better to switch to 1% or 2% milk.

Preeti,
If your weight gain is within limits pls. do not worry about gaining weight. The doctors are tracking everything fine. Keep to your regular food habits except do not have anything not good for pregnancy.
According to the book \";What to expect during expecting\"; it is advised to drink 1% milk. This is to keep your wieght control if its gaining too much and also so that your baby gets some fats. Its absolutely essential for the baby. Try to drink 1% milk if you get it.

Hi Preeti,

Baby realy needs fats. But we are eating that in cooked veg., nuts and eggs and other things. So if u are gaining appropriat weight u donnt need to take D milk. Most doc. recomands to take low fat and high nutritius foods.
Even my friends recomanded me to take D milk but I am taking fat free milk still I am gaining weights.
bye
Maitrali
