this time wen i went 2 c my doc, i got 2 know a new thing & i thought of sharing it wid u.
Most of u must b taking the iron & calcium tablets as prescribed by ur docs.
I also took d same.
But d mistake which most of us mite b doing is dat v wud b taking both the capsules at d same time, as I ws doing.
She told me dat, if these 2 r takwn 2gether, then dey will nullify d efferct of each other.

So, there shud atleast b a gap of 2 hrs. between intake of d 2.

Hope many of u wud not b aware of it & dis info may b helpful 2 u.

Hello Maanya,

Am shocked tht how did ur doc miss on such a thng. Iron n Calcium tabs shldn' t be taken together n this is the first thng tht ur doc shld hve informed u. This was the 1st thng tht my doc had told me when she started these tabs wid me.

thanks a lot for the info..
Well I take iron tablets,but dont take calcium tabs.But One mistake I do is,(now I realsied)take milk before half an hour before taking iron tablets...So this means the effect of iron is nullified..hmmm...I better take it early..N also one more thing,if u want the iron 2 be absorbed fast by ur body,then immediately after taking or before taking iron tablet drink or eat anything which has Vitamin C..This will help in absorbing iron soon...

HEMOGOLOBIN COUNT IS LOW

THANKS MANNYA for the useful tip, i came to know this two weeks back from my doc, I´ ll keep in mind Meghnah´ s tip also i.e. Vt" C" , because my Hemoglob count is low 9.60.my doc told me to increase it before delivery
