Hi, I' m currently in UK but will be moving to Chennai for delivery. I live in chrompet and would like to know some good hospitals in chn where the doctors wouldn push for c section. I have quite heard about Kalyani hospital and vijaya hospital. Can some one pls suggest about these two or is there any other hospital which is good according to your personal knowledge.

Thanks in advance.

I had a bad experience in Kalyani Hospital. I didn’t opt for Vijaya as I got bad reviews about it. But in today’s world it’s all about the money. The more you spend, the better facilities you get. i wish this helps you.

The options you mentioned are good but lot better hospitals are also available now. You can google them where you can get complete details along with the facilities provided and the cost estimation. Thanks and hope this helps you.

There are many other such as Shri Ramchandra Medical Center, Cloudnine Hospital, Velachery KS Hospital, Motherhood Hospital. If you are the one who can afford good money then first option is quite better. Better safe than sorry.

Vijaya was good but in recent times things have become bad. Kalyani is still better compared to Vijaya Hospital. The latter has been known for its greed and ill-treatment.

Kalyani Hospital has had good records. Although personal opinions differ from person to person. It is quite affordable as well. Overall I would give it a good rating based on infrastructure and average cost in treatment.

True here in chennai there are many hospitals who force women to go for C section to earn money in lakhs. They are so bad that they dont even think about mother and her family. Dont come here.

Why would someone come all the way from UK to India for delivery.. here are conditions are not as good as UK. it is better to deliver the child there itself. The best thing is that he will get UK citizenship

Dear All,

I'm Dr. Meghna Bharath. I'm a strong proponent of Natural Birthing.

In the run-up to becoming a Mom myself, I prepared for Natural birth and delivered naturally. Recently I encouraged and supported my younger sister and close friends deliver naturally as well [through remote advice, since we were across a 10-hour timezone :)].
