Due Date Club September 2007:telling others the babys sex
2007-06-09
Name: sss

Hi Ladies,
I' m due for an ultrasound this week. we don' t know the sex of the baby yet and would get to know this time .... everyone around us is sooo curious to know the sex of our unborn baby (colleagues, friends, relatives etc) and they all want to know \" what we have \" .

We want it to be a surprise for everyone this being our first baby .. but they just wont let us be .. ..
Is it ok for us not to tell people even when we find out or are we making a big deal out of it ... I mean they would know in about 2-3 months.... I' m wondering if I would be offending people if I don' t tell them ....
I don' t know if my query seems vague..but I don' t seem to know what to do ....thanx in advance for all your responses.

HI...

I have several friends who have kept it a surrpise.. so believe me no one will get offeneded. Its human tendency to be curious about others life...but just let them know that you want to keep this news as surprise..

if u dont want to tell others, its fine and not at all rude. its not as if they r never going to know. u as babies parents r the most imp ppl..rest all of them r not so imp. if u dont want to sound rude, u can say that u did not find out or did not ask ( as u urself want to keep it a surprise) or that the baby did not cooperate and hence u cudnt find out....
do whatever u feel like doing-if u want to tell its fine but if u dont then also its absolutely fine. afterall u r the baby' s parents and no body shud feel offended if u dont tell them.

Hi,
I went through yr post about others being curious about the sex of the baby. Trust me I went through the same. We found out the sex of our baby but then told everyone who asked us that its a surprise. Its not rude tot ell them that, its just yr wish. Enjoy yr pregnancy and keep the little secret to yr self. All the best!
