hi,
I had epidural during my delivery, it is very easy and not to worry. Relax when they are giving the injection, it is just a prick and just bend down and be relaxed. It took around 10-15 min for my son to be born and another 1/2 hr or so for the stiching, i was awake the entire time and I was not feeling scared. I am extremely scared of injections and epidural is cool.

First of all congrates!!

Hope both of you are fine. Just wanted to know when is epidural is given, i mean how many hours after labour pain starts. And is it given by all docs.

hi,
I had a C-sec so the date and time was fixed and so the epidural was given. In case of normal delivery i have no idea and all doctors do not prefer epidural.
