Due Date Club October 2005:Archie : Appt update and few quieres !!!

Name: SK Hi all...

Yest had my appt ...all is normal nothing special to report about. Strep B test came negative. I informed my doc about the contractions i have been getting..she said that is good.
Also gyn checked for any dilation and she said \";no cervix is still closed \";

Archie, i asked her about my due date considering the babies weight and last u/s....she said we are still going by the same due date and still thinking of a normal delivery. Which is fine i think ... but what i am worried about is .... if the baby weight was 7 pound on 26th last week..if we wait till due date 26th oct...would'nt the weight increase too much for normal delivery. should they give a option to induce earlier a week or two when the weight a bit less and i can have a chance for normal delivery...
i only thing that is bothering me is... since weight is already more ..waiting for due date will increase it and instead of a possible normal delivery by inducing may have to end up with c-section just because baby is too big for normal.
i understand inducing is also risky as one does not know i will be able to progress with it and have a normal delivery or end up with c-section.
I am really confused.I think the next too weeks will decide the whole thing...what is your opinion archie?

I don't really think you should go with very first EDD. This is because your baby is not growing according to that date anymore and is advanced. It may be that you will deliver earlier than Oct. 26th.

If you suspect C-section even after Induction then what's the point in getting confused with size of baby at it's normal due date. Just wait and let the baby choose to come whenever he wants to. Leave the delivery option to circumstance and forget rest.

Besides some OBs don't appreciate as much decisions of induction earlier than their own schedule. May be she won't wait patiently while induction as much she would wait on her scheduled day or baby's scheduled day, this is important. I don't know how your OB is and can't swear on that part.

hair on baby´ s body

I have been visiting site and finally cld see posts. Rhea is doing good.Pretty active like other kids.she sings whole abc song and counts 1to 6 (her bro' s impact)
