Due Date Club October 2006:Archie and all ....a query

Dear all

Just wanted to share my feelings with you all. Reading the daily updates and new posts on the board...i cannot help and feel amazed at the kinship that has been formed here. Though we havn't met ever, still the bond is so strong. Each baby's arrival is awaited so eagerly and welcomed with such genuine love from everyone. A wonderful feeling indeed.

I have a little concern also. My friends told me that by 9th month one feels the feet or the hands of the baby against the tummy ...rather can see them.(jutting out fm time to time). I am in my 37th week and till now i haven't seen this happening. My placenta is anterior.

Also, pls advice me as to what can be done abut these strech marks that are popping up everyday.

Archie, there is a little confusion about my due date. My ultrasound gives it as 12/10/06 and according to LMP it comes out as 25/10/06.(i am sure i have the wrong LMP date :-) What i want to ask is after 12.10.06 should i wait till 25/10/06 if nothing happens?? Also, when should be the last u/s done and how reliable it wuld be in giving the EDD.

hope to see ur helpful advice pouring in.

luck and love to everyone

Hi Chetana,

I am from the november board and have been getting ugly stretch marks since 32nd week..

I was using Palmers cocoa butter lotion everyday, still there is no relief.. my doctor has advised me to use almond oil.. I really think that almond oil massage is working for me.. the redness seems to have decreased now..You can also give it a try

take care

Hi Chetna,

For stretch marks I used Palmers Coco butter and Mustela cream...they've been effective so far...ad I'm in my 39th week now..for itching I used olive oil/coconut oil/calamine lotion (the pink kind)..

I also heard about feet and hands jutting out but in my case I just see something poking out or twitching on my tummy...but nothing so clear as a foot or a hand moving across...so I asked my doc about it..and she said that as long as you feel the baby move 10 times in a day..you are fine. No need to worry...

Also u/s can predict due date only in the early part of the pregnancy..not in this later part...For your due date concerns, I would tell my ob/gyn about it and ask for his/her opinion...

All the best!!
