My baby is one year old. How should I initiate weaning, she still demands my milk and never took a bottle.
Thanks Rekha replied. that's strange. you shud have started weaning at 6 mos. introducing a bottle does not mean weaning. giving solids is called weaning. for babies after 6 mons itseems, milk is not enough. they need solids as well. u can start by giving pieces of banana.then mix with cereals and mix with milk. cook and mash one vegetable or a fruit each week and try atleast one time during the day. initally she will make a face or reject since her taste buds are not used to the taste. but dont panic try again after few days just like that or by mixing with milk or with water. dont give up. initally dont add any salt or sugar. after few months start adding a pinch of salt to change the taste.
