Name: Leo

Hi Girls,

I am 29 weeks today. I failed my 3-hr glucose test and now I have GD. Was really shattered on hearing it today!!! but I am taking it in my stride. I will be meeting the nutritionist and will get a Glucometer this week. So from on I will be on diet and exercise.

Hope all of u and ur little ones are doing fine.

Bye,
Leo

Subject:  GD...

Hi All

I have also been diagnosed by GD, I met with the dietician yesterday & she has given me a diet & advised to walk 15 minutes after each meal. I will be monitoring my glucose levels after the 6th…

Please let me know what diet has been planned for you, I am a little skeptical about my situation as since I’m working I doubt if I will be able to stick to the diet as prescribed.

The only worry is that if the levels are not in control, I will have to begin with insulin.. would appreciate any advise or information on insulin…

Thanks
December Baby

Hey Leo,
Its very common in pregnancy and u can control it by diet and exercise.I also have it.I went to deitian and got glucose meter to check my blood sugar four times in a day but its quite normal range.so its not a big deal.cheer up !!!!!!
U have to take low carb and protien rich diet.Ur nutrionist will tell that all the portion(like carb, protien, fat etc..)u have to take in balance manner.
i had it in my first pregancy and my delivery was normal with a healthy baby.
Nothing to worry.don't get tensed.
take care n bye
Ritu
