Most common parenting style that I have noticed is authoritative. Parents are dominant and guide the children always and not letting them much of freedom. Parents should check from time to time if their child is facing some problems or issues. Evaluating themselves can help them keep in check all the issues. They need to be the role model of the child. Keeping a positive attitude is very helpful as it will boost the confidence of the child. They should not take failures of the child too seriously but instead motivate him or her.
Parents who want to raise their kids as a better and independent individual should always choose the best possible path for their kids. When kids make a mistake, smart parents assess the situation and try to find the positives in it. They deal with the situation in a calm and composed manner rather than being hyper. Love, emotional support and care are the basic responsibilities of a smart parent so parents should strive to always make their kids feel loved and cared for. Discipline should not be imposed but taught in a calm manner through examples.
