Hi I would like to suggest that whenever you experience dry cough immediately visit a doctor before it becomes worse. The doctor will examine properly and treat you with proper medication. Always consult a doctor and then only take medications as some of them cause heartburns and stomach acid which may add in to the coughing. Sometimes stomach problems also cause coughing.

Taking home remedies is the safest and the easiest method to avoid cough. You can stay hydrated all the time with hot water and squeezing a bit of lemon in it calming the irritant cough. Eating a hard candy can also be soothing to the throat. You can also use cough drops. Make sure to consult and talk to your doctor before you try anything for your safety.

I would like to advice the ladies to keep their head straight and elevated whenever they feel like coughing as the coughing gets worse when you lie down. If you are allergic to dust or potential irritants then stay away from them. Perfumes, dust, cleaning products can cause the cough to trigger. Visit doctors regularly for the right treatment.
