In this world of competition, it is a must to keep general knowledge of kids updated. Parents should always keep asking questions to the kids as this stimulates the brain and makes them curious. Playing games also helps in increasing the general knowledge. Games such as names or capitals of countries can be played with small children. This will help them know about the world. Similarly with older children game which highlights the habitats of different animals can be played. Head of Countries, flags and currencies can be introduced to children at an early age. All this makes them aware of different cultures, countries etc. Exposing children to good books is the best way to updtae general knowledge. Gradually you can introduce newspapers to them.

There are several audio and video CD’s and DVD’s available today with all the general knowledge and other information which is beneficial for the child to know. You can play those CD’s whenever your child is free and you can sit along with him and explain things while the video plays. Sitting with your child can boost the child’s interest and also he will be able to grasp information and it will remain in their minds forever.
