Is your kid scared of Mathematics ?

    Hello Parents,

I came across this unique learning by doing program for kids of classes 3rd to 8th and has its center in Malviya Nagar. Cuemath is an innovative learning system which enables school students to master Mathematics and English Comprehension skills way beyond school level and has been developed by IIT-IIM alumni.
The idea is to solve specially-designed Mathematics worksheets under expert guidance. These worksheets are designed to address English Comprehension skills as well.
Cuemath is a guided self-learning model and is completely different from conventional tuition systems.
Learning is ability-wise rather than age-wise in Cuemath - each student follows a customized learning trajectory at his / her own pace.

I think you should visit the website and decide for yourself.

Hi, I have seen 99 percent of children who are scared of mathematics. My child was also scared of mathematics and all the eqautions and totaling. I had no idea how to overcome my child’s fear. Hearing about math people feel it to be challenging and unintelligent. Children find it very difficult to cope up with their subject. They might seem tough in school but can be made easy and fun. You can try to stimulate their brain which can be healthy for them and also for their soul. You can try doing that as it might help your child to remove that fear.

Hi, some children have those things in mind that they cannot understand math and are unable to comprehend it and are scared that they cannot do it. Mostly they are scared during the exams that they think what if they can’t solve the paper and fail or do not get good marks. There can be various reason because of which the children fear this subject and you need to find out the exact reason why your child is scared of a subject. Once you find out the reason why your child is scared of math, then you can take the necessary action.

Children fear the math subject because they are unable to grasp the concepts or they do not understand the concept or their concepts are not clear. All these can be the reasons and because of this they start hating the subject and also lose interest in it and try to avoid it as much as possible. This is not a solution for the problem which he is facing. Children feel anxious about the subject and this subject has also been named as diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorder also called as DSM-5 and math anxiety.

I personally feel that being anxious is a simple and common reaction when the children are unable to cope up with math subject. It is our responsibility as parents to encourage our children and help them do better so that they get motivated and boosted. When the confidence level is boosted they can try doing and solving sums. It is necessary that we keep boosting their confidence so that they take it seriously and also that they can do it. Making their mind positive by saying positive things can influence them to take interest in the subject and understand it.

Hi, some children are who are not comfortable with some subjects. They run away from those subjects and try to avoid them as much as possible. Running away is not a solution to the problem. I suggest that all the parents make a timetable which is followed by the children wherein they start practicing math. They can practice all the things which are taught in school and also keep a regular habit of solving sums or whatever is taught in the school. This can help them make confident about the subject and also make them lose their nervousness.
