Bowel and Bladder Movements:22 month old constipated
2007-02-26
Name: Minka
Hi,

My son is 22 months old and is now seriously constipated. He was always a lil constipated since he started solids at 6 mos and I have taken help from Hetal and others . Offlate , he was doing fine . But now with the weather getting hotter ( I am in Chennai ) , it' s becoming worse. We have increased his water intake . Please give me tips on how I can relieve this - I am giving him 13-15 black raisins juice in the morning.

His diet is :-
5.30 AM - 150 ml milk ( 3 fat ) with sugar and bournvita
8 AM - roti , banana, malai and milk mashed
11.30 AM - rice , veggies , rasam/sambar, curd
1 PM - 150 ml milk
3.30 PM - sattu kanji ( mixed cereals, pulses, powder ) with milk, candy sugar and ghee
7.30 PM - rice , veggies

please give me tips in relieving constipation . I have seen some bleeding when he' s straining for potty and it' s really scaring me. Will mosambi juice help ? what else can I do ?

TIA,
Minka

hello karthik according to me you should not worry so much and enjoy the joy of being a parent and let time passes as the child we start walking and then you will be happy so just relax and wait for the right time.... - Archana [View Message]
