I once had a friend who suffered from asthma from a young age. She had constant wheezing while running and playing games. She could not run too much because of the wheezing. But now the treatment of asthma has progressed a lot. With the help of modern treatment, her asthma has improved greatly.

Subject:  Difficulty in breathing
Wheezing is very common in infancy and childhood. However, it is rare in newborns. The air passage in children is so small that any obstruction causes breathing difficulty. If your child is having difficulty in breathing, you should see a doctor. Early diagnosis of asthma can help.

Wheezing in young children is common when they have cold or other chest infections. Wheezing in child does not necessarily mean asthma. Most of the doctors do not diagnose asthma until twelve months of age. In addition to wheezing, there are other signs like the ones mentioned in the article which indicate asthma in a child.
