Health Issues:bathing baby when he has cold
2009-03-16
Name: Radha Kannan
Hi

My 2 month old son is having a mild cold and the weather is also very bad.
I just wanted to know if it is ok to continue to bathe him - especially is it ok to give him a head bath?

Instead of bathing him, undress him in a warm room, take a soft cloth, wet in hot water, wring and wipe him clean. Then pat him dry with a towel and dress him immediately. You can give him a headbath after a gap of 2-3 days, until he is better.

If the cold persists, please visit your doc.

RE:Female Paedeatrician in Pune
Hi Aashi, i would say just go online and check out some reviews provided by customers. They will help you in getting hold of the best doctor in the city and the areas which you have mentioned in your post.... - Bindiya [View Message]

Hi Krithiga, i dont really have a detail idea about this. Rather than asking us it would be good if you can talk to your doctor and take the necessary advice to get the treatment done.... - Janvi [View Message]

Hi Sona, this problem is caused when you dont clean your baby properly. Also try to give some amount of water everytime you feed anything to your baby so that there is enough water in the body.... - Jayesh [View Message]
RE:need good pediatrician
Juhu is an amazing area and very expensive. Everything there is quite costly but you will find the best things there be it restaurant joint or doctors. Look carefully for doctor's clinics when you go outside for anything or ask around.... - NN [View Message]
RE:Anterior Ectopic Anus
Ask the doctor about all the complications that might happen after the surgery. The baby is too small for a surgery but if it will cause problems in the future then you should get it done as soon as possible.... - NN [View Message]
RE:Anterior Ectopic Anus
It is very difficult to see anything happening to your baby and surgery is a very heartbreaking thing even if it is a very small surgery. But you should take the advice of the doctor but also take some second opinions about it.... - Ritu [View Message]
RE:Cradle cap ( dry patchy skin on head)
You should take her to a good pediatrician and show the dry patch to the doctor and ask him to prescribe some lotion or cream for it and also tell him what all treatments you tried for it and for how long. ... - Ashna [View Message]
