Dear Friends,
My friend has been trying for a baby with no success and now planning to do IVF with DR Haripriya. We have not much knowledge about this. Could anyone kindly help us by sharing your experiences/information regarding her clinic/treatment?

i have achieved pregnancy in my first attempt of IVF in India. After so many years....

iswarya fertility centre in chennai is very good. they have 4 ivf centers in india at chennai,coimbatore,madurai and palani. They are one of the oldest ivf centers in india with best success rate. They have been doing ivf for more than 25 years.

I saw some comments abt Gita haripriya here. Yes, as some say, there are some successful cases that brought forth her good amount of new childless couples. But what did she do them has to be thought of atleast once!!!

I am not sure how she was earlier, but when we went there for ICSI, in 2008, we had terrible moments. My husband and I were all in tears throughout the entire process. The doctors in the hospital specially \" Sudha\" (I wonder if she is fit to be a doctor in real sense) is totally rigid with her rude expressions and her blunt comments. She never considers the pain of the couple. She is very authoritative like one BIG BOSS…she sits there and commands the patients.

Coming to Gita, She looks so polite unlike Sudha (notice - she “Looks Like”) and she takes up all the procedure by herself. But what is the use if she cannot analyze a case clearly. There is no individual attention given to patients, all of us are treated like one big mob..taking scans, injecting, taking eggs and transfer embroyo all in one swing for all those who come there.

Here is our case. We were promised 85% of success, but once turned negative it was then Gita came out saying the egg quality is not good and sperm had abnormal shape..BUT WHY this was not identified earlier. Can' t they see the shape of sperm in the sperm test, are they so meanly qualified. How can Gita, being is such a responsible position can simply evade with just doubts. And why did she say we have 85% of success rate with abnormal sperms and less egg quality..How dare they are to give such controversial comments. Many more to say…but no time nor space for everything.

The way we dealt with, gave us a strong feeling if there is proper analysis done in Prasanth Fertility hospital. I am posting this to make others understand what actually happens in the hospital. you can see the defects of Gita and her hospital as below:

1. No proper analysis of cases - there is 0% personal attention and all cases are treated similar. Except for the increase in injection dosage when there is less number of eggs.

2. Though all the tests like laparoscopy, HSG, Hysteroscopy done to all most all the patients...no analysis on the results are done. We would not get a clear idea of what the results say. They say is it all well and good but once the result is negative they would ask to repeat these tests again. This happened to me personally. Then why the hell they proceed with the entire process if they are not damn fit to analyze the results when it is done once. Is GITA HARIPRIYA a doctor?

3. Coming to the expense. They look slightly high when compared to Kamala selvaraj and MMM hospital. But the hospital attenders are typically worse than an Indian govt hospital staff… from the ward boy till the duty nurse would expect to be bribed. Does Gita notice all these or allowing them to mint money like herself.

4. Now the counseling part. It is the worse aspect of the whole treatment. I should make a note of Sudha..who is typically a dog like creature (Please bear if I am harsh- but cant help saying),she is so worse for words. Never has thought about the patients’ pain and their turmoil. Neither there is counseling from Gita. Without our consent they wld prepare the delivery sheet and would give to us. Not a single word of discussion after that…you can imaging the height of rejection

I still can say more. but what is use ...we are frustrated, with my health, baby and money gone.

I wish, atleast to let public know about this lady before you go there. You can also mail me to know about her. I am willing to help you with my feedback if required.

shevini replied. I travelled from London for my treatment, intially i was planning to go to the GG hospital, however the Prasanth Hospital was recommended by some of the people living in India. My experience has left a scar and will be with me for the rest of my life...Dr haripriya has no time for her patients, her nurses are terrible, they treat u like animals...I am still suffering as a result of one of her nurse brutal actions (still in pain and bleeding four months on). Hysterscopy was very painful no painkillers were given and i was screaming for them to stop, but they carried on.......And the worst of all my experience has to be that I WOKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF MY SURGERY....I was screaming with the pain and kicking before they gave me more general.
I never received any after care, just told to return in six weeks....I have since returned to London and am continuing my treatment here, at least i am not being treated like an animal...i am aware some are not as fortunate as myself, but please do your studies well, ask around. I have been a patient there.
I tried ivf 3 times in the usa but in vain.

Dr.Geetha is very particular about the tubes and the shape of the uterus and hence recommends those tests like lap/hysteroscopy.
In my case she did a corrective surgery and I got pregnant after that.

During my pregnancy , I had appendicitis. Dr.Gopalkrishna and Dr.Geetha really dedicated their services and took care of my babies.
She can very much transfer all the patients to her subordinates but she doesn' t. She takes care of each and every patient and hence the delay.

I got lucky with her and have twins.
SP replied. I am not aware and can not comment on Dr Haripriya or anyone else other than Dr Kamala Selvaraj of GG. We are currently going through IVF and were luckily successful on the first time. We had lots of difficulties after confirmation and i appreciate the way GG Hospital has handled them. They have streamlined the entire process very well and you do not need to worry about lots of things. Only thing they can not handle is after the ET to conception, i think they can handle rest of the issues very well. Its cost effective too. Let me know if you need any more info. Sairam replied. In this field of I.V.F, I experienced many doctors are too busy and not spending much time with the patients.I tried with many doctors except Dr.Thangam Varma as I was not knowing. With my experience, I am much convinced with Dr.Haripriya.Initially they may ask you to go for Hiteroscopy / Laproscopy to diagonise. They charge 28,000IRS for that.

As I mentioned earlier, 1.32Lakhs (One Bill) for IVF they charge, Other investigations and medicines will cost you approximately 50 - 60,000IRS.That is why I said 2Lakhs.
Now my wife' s blood test result has come possitive & she is in complete bed rest.Still we have got long way to go. we keep ourselves cool.

I hear that she talks very nicely beforehand, and when you get there she is a different person.

I heard form one person, who went from abroad. Dr haripriya has asked her to come with a medical visa and that it can be renewd once you are there with no problem.
But when she got there the first day this friend called to get an appt and was asked to come to doctors place at 830am but when she got there it was full of people and very poor service.

She was only called-in after lunch!! and moreover, doctor has told her to go back to her place and renew her visa and come again (as if it is a piece of cake!), without even considering the fact that person has come from a long way!

She has been charged a lot even in the first day and apparently women were screeming in pain duting there invesitgation ( i guess it is laparoscopy for checking the fallopian tupe for any tubular blockage!) . Alghou i am not expert, in the west patients are anaesthetised and given enough pain killers so that patient is not aware of whats happening.

She says that the staff (attendents) were not even helpful at all. She did not even know where to go for the tests and nobody bothered about it apparently. As long as they got the money then you are forgotten. So I have a feeling that she is misusing people and just doing a business out of this!!!

So just be aware of Dr Haripriya before you go please check it out.

I also referred to Dr. Geetha Haripriya of Prashanth Hospital for IVF treatment by one of my friend. Did u get any feed back regarding her clinic and the cost.

is there any website link for your doctor. Neither my friend nor I know anyone from India so it is a bit of a problem. because there are so many doctors and different people give different names.. so dont know what to do! my friend was recommended Dr Haripriya by someone else!
thanks for your help Noopur Noopur replied. I have not heard of her. Try some of the more well known doctors like Dr Sadhana Desai. I am going for IVF under her. sumitra replied. Cann anyone please share your expereince about Dr Haripriya, in India. My friend is planning to get IVF treatment from her and we are desperate for any useful information we can get from you all... she needs to do it pretty quickly but we have no way of knowing information about Dr Haripriya.
Could anyone please please please please help?
